"That noise..." thought an unpretentious bear, "I've never heard anything quite like it." Deciding to investigate, the bear steadily rose from his haunches and lumbered towards the sound. "Do my ears deceive me or does that sound rather like a bird," thought the bear as he unshakenly plowed through the dense forest.
Presently arriving in a small clearing, the bear saw a majestic bird in a wretched state.
The distressed fowl said to the bear, "O, mighty bear, please look upon me with compassion and do not crush me with your mighty jaws or destroy my precious offspring with your claws." The bear was deeply taken aback by the mighty bird's demeanor, and replied, "Far be it from me! I will not harm you or your offspring."
Taking comfort in this answer, the bird removed her wings from a nest with one single blue egg resting in its center. "This is my final wish, bear, that this egg is kept safe. I bind you to make sure no harm befalls it. Do you understand, bear?"
"Yes, yes I do." the bear said with great conviction.
"So be it." the bird said with her last distressed breath.
The bear then took the nest in his paws and silently sat.
He may sit there even to this day waiting for the mysterious bird's offspring to hatch.
